Jesus Creed reviewed by Dan Turis

My friend Dan Turis, campus minister at The Ohio State University and a great thinker, is writing a detailed review of Scot McKnight's The Jesus Creed at his blog, "Feelin' Fine."

The series starts here
and then continues on his blog.

I enjoyed that book. Scot is deeply theological, but he makes it accessible. And he has a good sense of humor too.

Bob,

I've been reading through your pasts posts on shalom and have been greatly edified. I hope you don't mind if I continue to link some of your past posts on the subject so others can have their eyes opened to the fulness of the Gospel.

BTW--I really enjoyed the quotes from Rob Bell's book (Velvet Elvis?) that you had in one of the "shalom" posts I just read.

As for Scot's book, while I'm not very familiar with all the aspects of the "emerging Church" movement (or whatever it's being called now), I've been blessed by what I've read so far. I'm trying to understand the criticisms of it even as I try to understand the theological foundation upon which it is based.

It's a learning experience and I appreciate the access to material that you provide.
