Five Streams of the Emerging Church

Scot McKnight has offered readers of Christianity Today his clear and informative description of the "Emerging Church." This is drawn from his earlier lecture at Westminster Theological Seminary entitled, What is the Emerging Church?

In the CT article, he identifies five "key elements of the most controversial and misunderstood movement in the church toda y:"

Prophetic (or at least provocative)
Postmodern
Praxis-oriented
Post-evangelical
Political
